The Astropath

 Hello,

I'd like to talk about things I enjoy, hopefully once a week or so. To start us off, have an Astropath:

Here's what he looks like from behind:

The body is a Genestealer Magus from the Broodcoven box, the censer is from the Tempestus Scions kit, the head is an Empire Greatsword bit and the paper is from the Handgunners. The dust is from my shag carpeting and two years of sunlight.

I made this fellow somewhere around 2021-2022, and have no memory of how he was painted. You may notice that this was before I had quite grasped the need to clean brushes or highlight overmuch after shading. Nevertheless I am quite fond of him, the way his robe billows in the same direction as the tassel and smoke adds a dramatic flair. I imagine him standing atop a rocky escarpment as waves of guardsmen pour past him into some dark defile. The setting sun and billowing coastal wind set the whole scene in an orange tint. What happens after is up to the reader.

One day I'll buy myself a modelling pen and figure out something to write on his sign, "THE END IS NIGH" seems appropriate enough. Or perhaps "USED CARS, CHEAP."

Expect the format and style of this site to change a few times in the near future. I have no experience with web design and a questionable at best aesthetic taste. Perhaps I shall even invest in a better background for miniature shots.
